Thought piece in partnership with WestEd

Part literature review, part call-to-action, this paper examines how the emerging concept of technology-enabled instruction can bridge the gap between instructional practice and technology integration, resulting in unique benefits for K-12 students.

This paper was part of a larger project in collaboration with WestEd, Google for Education, and Leading Educators.

Article series in partnership with Digital Promise

This series of articles documents and identifies lessons from Mississippi Connects, an initiative of the Mississippi Department of Education to provide and support the use of technology for in-school and at-home learning. Articles appeared in EdSurge, EdTech Magazine, and SmartBrief, among others.

I identified themes in research interviews of stakeholders, pitched stories to the media, and drafted and revised articles in collaboration with Digital Promise staff.

Paper in partnership with Siegel Family Endowment

The paper offers a vision of K-12 schools as vital pieces of community infrastructure, encompassing digital, social, and physical elements, and bridging the gaps between them. By embracing this vision, funders and partners can find new and better ways to serve students and communities.

I interviewed key stakeholders, and drafted and revised the paper in collaboration with Siegel Family Endowment staff.

Article in partnership with Stanford Digital Education

This article examines new research from scholars at Stanford University about the impact of pass/fail grading and other assessment policies during the early pandemic, and the challenges they face to becoming standard practice.

I interviewed key stakeholders, and drafted and revised the article in collaboration with Stanford Digital Education staff.
